Gamify a cyborg 🦾

There's still time to jump aboard: Motorica and the Skolkovo Foundation are running an online game jam. The challenge is to make a mobile game that helps someone learn to control a bionic hand. Registration closes on 27 October — tomorrow ⏰

The idea is to create a game people want to return to as they learn to use a prosthetic hand. That “just one more try” feeling could make a difference beyond the screen.

You won't need an actual prosthesis: you can test the controls in an emulator, with no sensors required. You can also discuss your ideas and game mechanics with Motorica's experts and get their feedback.

Mobile game and app developers and game designers are welcome. Join on your own or in a team of up to five. Don't have a team? You can find teammates on the game-jam platform.

The prize pool is 1,000,000 rubles. Top participants will also receive merchandise and a chance to intern at Motorica.

You'll work on the game from 28 October to 11 November. The final presentations and awards are on 18 November. Everything happens online.
