On June 26, KRI, Russia’s game developers conference, will take place in Moscow. I invite everyone to a panel discussion that I will moderate. The title says it all. This session is for those who want to understand not an abstract “future of Russian game development,” but the real state of the market after its recent restructuring 📊

Even if you are not planning to attend our session, I recommend exploring KRI itself. It is not a festival built around cosplay and merchandise, but a major industry event for everyone involved in games: developers, publishers, investors, educational projects, service providers, media, and content creators. The discussion goes beyond games themselves to everything behind their creation: business models, hiring, investment, infrastructure, technology, and careers. Simply put, if you want to understand how the game industry works from the inside today, KRI is well worth a visit.

A little more about the panel. In one hour, we will bring together several perspectives: city support and the creative economy, platform infrastructure, studio experience, independent development, investment, and technology trends. This will not be a conversation focused only on problems or only on optimism. We need an honest discussion of where the industry stands, where new growth opportunities have emerged, and where systemic barriers remain.
