Winamp is coming back! 🎧

A new Winamp is promised for the first half of 2027, with its own subscription music streaming service built on Deezer's catalogue and technology. It will bring streaming, local files, internet radio and podcasts together in one player.

What I'm most curious about is how the old-school crowd will react. In the 2000s, they played pirated music through Winamp; now they'll find a subscription inside their old friend. Will that make our old-school stomachs turn? Or have we simply got used to the idea that music will never be free?

Drop the tracks you played on repeat in Winamp in the Telegram comments! Meanwhile, I'm off to rewatch TPB AFK.
