Why is the game worth paying attention to? Firstly, because we need to support the domestic manufacturer 😉 The guys have been working on the project for 4 years since school! This is not just their first steps in game development, it is literally their life and dream come true! Personally, this alone makes me proud of the young generation of Russian developers. But, in addition to sentimental feelings, there are more serious arguments on the side of the game.
The Ballad of a True Thug is an atmospheric top-down shooter in the setting of criminal Europe in the 1990s, a dark story about revenge and friendship, where you will go from a petty thief to a crime legend. The plot is a story with an unexpected ending, in which friends and enemies do not always turn out to be what they seem. In terms of vibe and action, it’s a mixture of Hotline Miami and Katana Zero.
Distinctive features: ✅ Combo system + Slow-mo: the faster and more varied you kill, the more you slow down time. ✅ Risk-Reward mechanics: buffs that change the style of play. ✅ Freedom of style: levels can be completed loudly, secretly or mixed. ✅ Arsenal: grenades, tackles and a bunch of guns.
