Meta launched Pocket in the US, a new application with an endless feed of interactive content created by users using prompts.

Pocket, in essence, is the same TikTok, only instead of short videos they give us mini-games. One of the interesting features is “remixes”. With the consent of the author, users can clone a game they like from the feed, add a prompt and publish an updated version.

At first glance, it may seem that this is a pocket tool for game development. However, Pocket is not so much a new game builder as it is an emotion builder and a big Meta* product experiment. Previously, social networks invited us to watch, read and listen. Now Zuckerberg is testing whether we are ready to scroll through, launch, and immediately remake other people’s creatives.

In my humble guess, millennials will skip the next entertainment app from Metochka. But betting on a young audience that grew up simultaneously on TikTok, Roblox and neural networks may work. And if the experiment is successful, Pocket may well cease to be a separate sandbox. I wouldn't be surprised if these kinds of mini-games and interactive posts eventually appear in the main Facebook* and Instagram* feeds (although the company denies this for now).

In general, we are preparing for an era when we will be addicted not only to endless videos, but also to endless games. Created in a minute, completed in ten seconds and immediately forgotten and sent for remixing.
